Dr. Laurel Caldwell is originally from Oregon, where she grew up on her family’s cattle and Thoroughbred ranch. Dr. Caldwell received her Honors Baccalaureate in Animal Science from Oregon State University and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M University. After graduation, Dr. Caldwell moved to Kentucky where she completed the Hagyard Ambulatory Internship. After her internship, she joined the Hagyard field team as an associate. Dr. Caldwell's interests include reproductive medicine, general wellness, and equine veterinary student outreach. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, gardening, and playing with her dog.
