Dr. Wampler was born and raised in Fincastle, Virginia. She attended North Greenville University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biology with an animal science focus. It was in college that Dr. Wampler discovered her passion for equine veterinary medicine and the human-horse bond. While in college, she immersed herself in the local equine community through volunteering at horseshows, therapeutic riding, and shadowing various local equine practitioners. Dr. Wampler was also a member of the women’s basketball team at North Greenville. Following completion of her undergraduate degree, Dr. Wampler joined the Hagyard Medicine team as a veterinary assistant where she worked from January 2018-June 2019. During this time, it became even more clear to her that she wanted to practice equine veterinary medicine. She then attended the University of Florida to complete her veterinary degree (Go Gators!). She then returned to Lexington to complete an ambulatory internship at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute. After a year-long internship, she joined the Hagyard field team as an associate. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, spending time outdoors, and enjoying all that Lexington has to offer.
