Dr. Beyer grew up in Upperco, Maryland. He earned dual undergraduate degrees in English and Biology from McDaniel College, then graduated from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. Dr. Beyer completed an internship at Rood and Riddle, followed by a residency in internal medicine at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute’s McGee Medicine Center in 1996. After completing his training, Dr. Beyer spent twenty-three years serving the Central Kentucky equine industry as a private practitioner. After relocating to Alaska in 2021, Dr. Beyer practiced as an ambulatory equine veterinarian on the Kenai Peninsula. In his spare time, Dr. Beyer enjoys hiking and photographing in wild mountainous areas.
