Dr. Fontaine is originally from Brussels, Belgium. She was always fascinated by animals, horses in particular, and expressed that she wanted to be a veterinarian as soon as she could at the age of 5. She chose Hagyard because she knew there was no better place in the world to do what she loves. She enjoys going to work every day, but particularly enjoyed being a veterinarian at the 2010 World Equestrian Games. Her favorite type of work in the field involves neonatology. Outside of work, Dr. Fontaine enjoys taking care of her family and pets, gardening, cooking and traveling. She is a night owl and enjoys the Fall season best. On any given day, she can't live without her family and her animals.
