Veterinarian

Cole Sandow, DVM, MS, DACVS

Surgery

Dr. Sandow is originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He became a vet because he was intrigued by horses and the communication with horse owners. He enjoys the ability to practice outside, and that each day of work might be different. He knew he wanted to work on horses when he watched a vet diagnose and treat a lame horse that later went on to compete at a high level. He chose to practice at Hagyard because of the prestigious collective knowledge amongst the veterinarians and the amazing clients which both provide a wonderful work environment. His professional interests include Orthopedic and emergency surgery, lameness and imaging. Outside of work, Dr. Sandow enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time with his wife and four dogs Kiana, Walker, Willet and Lady. He prefers the summer season when he wants to fish and the winter season when he wants to go hunting. One day he hopes to catch a marlin!
