Surgery

Growing up in the tristate area, Dr. Coleridge helped her mother on their farm, rode sport horses, and was a working student on the high-level circuit. In 2012, she graduated from North Carolina State University with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, followed by completing the Hagyard Surgical internship. She then completed her surgical residency at Louisiana State University and became a clinical lecturer and emergency equine surgeon at Auburn University. Following her time at Auburn, Dr. Coleridge moved to Ireland and spent 3 years working as a surgeon at Fethard Equine Hospital, with a primary focus of breeding and racing thoroughbreds. This led to another move to Newmarket, United Kingdom where she worked at the University of Cambridge as a surgeon and associate professor/lead clinical instructor of equine surgery. Dr. Coleridge is experienced in all aspects of equine surgery and has a particular interest in general soft tissue and gastrointestinal surgery, diagnostic imaging and foals. Additionally, she is published in both surgery and imaging research. She is excited to be back on the Hagyard team with her main focus serving as the surgery intern coordinator. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her young children and husband, as well as snowboarding, cooking, boating and traveling.
